LITTLE KARTINI,
BIG DREAMS
SOUTH78 celebrated the spirit of Kartini through a two-day event series designed to deliver both engaging experiences and meaningful family moments. Held on Saturday and Sunday, 18–19 April 2026, the event combined educational and entertainment elements within a cohesive, family-oriented concept.
On the first day, Saturday, April 18, SOUTH78 collaborated with Sang Buah Hati to present a Kartini-themed Beauty Class and Fashion Show exclusively for children. The Beauty Class was designed with a light and age-appropriate approach, introducing basic self-care concepts in a fun and interactive way. It focused on building confidence and encouraging self-expression among young participants.
The Fashion Show became the visual highlight of the day, featuring children dressed in Kartini-inspired attire. Traditional elements such as kebaya were reinterpreted in a more playful and modern style, creating a presentation that felt both culturally rooted and accessible for a younger audience. The segment not only showcased creativity but also introduced cultural appreciation in an engaging format.
On the second day, Sunday, April 19, the event shifted toward a more intimate, family-focused atmosphere with the Crawl Baby activity. This segment involved mothers and their babies in a lighthearted and interactive setting. Beyond being a simple competition, it functioned as a bonding moment, reinforcing emotional connections while creating a memorable shared experience.
Overall, the Kartini Day series at SOUTH78 reflected a clear brand positioning as a family-friendly and community-driven space. By curating activities that are relevant to both children and parents, the event successfully created a layered experience—one that goes beyond entertainment and builds a stronger emotional connection with its audience.
This approach demonstrates that moment-based events like Kartini Day remain effective when executed with a clear concept and consistent delivery, especially when they are tailored to specific audience segments such as families and young children.
